I think you have every right to be skeptical and you should check out every Jesus.
But you should know that he must appear at a specific time, during a specific year, that is.
And, the Bible physically describes him.
Isa. 53.
AND, in addition, he has to have had the life of the "prodigal son". Someone who was once "in the truth" that is in the "temple" organization, that is a Jehovah's Witness. So there is a lot who the Messiah is has to be fulfilled. So many can make the claim but how many can match the timing and physical requirements and biographical profile as provided in scripture. That tends to cut down on the choices.
Basically, the Messiah must been a JW, left the organization for most of his life and then return by Passover of 1992. He must also resemble an Ethiopian eunuch, and apparently, must publish or debate Biblical issues in public or on the internet. AND, he has to be approved by heaven by the "sign of the Son of Man" appearing in the sky at the time he becomes symbiotic with the angelic Jesus.
So, I don't think David Koresh could claim to have been an Etiopian eunuch.
In addition, you must keep up with the critical timing of the Messiah. This is not a SINFUL Messiah. This is a REPENTANT, returned and reformed Messiah. This is someone who was considered to be spiritually "dead" while living a life of sin, but then "come back to life" when they returned to "the truth" and the organization.
Sooooo... there are other scriptures to consider and other specific details to be met.
