To Flee or not to Flee

A week ago or there-abouts, I read a post by either ABK or FJW. It talked about the coming tribulation and how he was only waiting for the instruction to FLEE and hoped the flight would not take place in winter. Ever since I read that I've been wondering how they (wtb&ts) interpret those scriptures. Like God/Jesus/somebody is coming to do the big clean-up, but who FLEES? This guy indicated he was going to. From what? to where? for why? I have always wondered how the wt glosses this thing over ,but have never seen it talked about.
I'd like Friend to give this a go if you don't mind. Your descriptions seem easy to follow.Of course, any comments are wlcome.
