Your premise that he is not a GB member is based on "lack of proof" that he IS a GB member.
Lack of proof that he IS does NOT necessarily prove that he ISN'T.
Some of us are willing to behave AS IF he is until there is proof he ISN'T. If he does a good job of playing that role he deserves the benefit of the doubt. The worst that can happen is that he will have carried out a hoax. If he is what he claims we will have benefited from the conversation.
Another benefit is it keeps the real GB wondering. And it focuses the attention of a lot of JW's on this last pool of fresh H2O.
I would never fault myself for being taken in by someone who pretends to be something he isn't. When I find out - it simply means the game is over.
What amazes me is that even most of those who have left JW's still believe in God when there is absolutely no proof.
