In Norway anyone is innocent untill proven guilty. But naturally, nobody expects a JW to feel that way. You prefer to be persecutor, judge and jury - and prefer to decide for yourselves what is wrong or right.
I really hope you will find some people that will judge you by your own standards if you ever go to trial :))
BTW. What exams do you have in law? It seems to me the standards in the US is a bit different from Europe :))
