Fred: Thanks for the feedback. Your account of Joseph Smith is correct and matches the material I have on the subject. My comment about the 'Lamb to the Slaughter' was based on some old Mormon material which makes more of the comparison to Jesus than perhaps what Joseph Smith intended. That is typical of followers of a leader. Also, are you aware of a Watchtower magazine article published a couple of years ago which soke highly of Joseph Smith. The article alarmed me from the stand point that the Watch Tower Society historically has bad-mouthed all religions, including the LDS. The article in question was the first break in that policy I have ever seen.
As for Russell and the alleged molestation charges, the Watch Tower Society has always taken the position that such charges were never proved. However, some of the Watchtower articles contemporary with Russell allude that he had to deal with this. But more importantly, the Watch Tower Scoiety has never denied the charges either.
