I should never post with a tired brain, and because I did, that was the best I could come up with at the time, as goofy as it was.
But even though tired, I could still see the obvious: if someone doesn't think they did something wrong (in this case misrepresenting themselves and declaring their alter-ego a victor in a debate that was not yet over) it is still wrong.
I wasn't comparing Greg to Hitler, either. If I did, I would be laughed off this board, and you know it.
Had Hitler apologized and meant it, it might have helped some people to heal a little faster, knowing that he would at least had a small amount of mental suffering before they shot his sorry butt.
As you said, it is all moot now because Greg DID apologize, not in the way that some people wanted, but I'm not going to judge him for the way he did it. I accepted it at face value and stated so publicly.
We all try to do the best with who we are and what we have to work with. And since Greg has been carefully mentored by the best non-apologists in the world, his apology puts him light years ahead of those mentors.
