Obviously I can't show you a scripture that prohibits using blood to save a human life as one does not exist.

I am glad you can see that. The problem is that is exactly what our present position on abstaining from blood attributes to the Bible.

Of course you can't expect that there would be a scripture specifically about blood transfusions anymore than a specific scripture about the Internet.

Please note that using human blood to save human life does not necessarily require blood transfusion. What if Noah could have made some poultice with his own whole blood to save the life of one of his children? Would that have been acceptable based upon the directive given to Noah? Would Jehovah’s Witnesses today accept such a practice? What if Noah had felt that a few ounces of his own blood given orally to a fellow human being would have saved them from some life-threatening affliction? Would that have been acceptable based upon the directive given to Noah? Would Jehovah’s Witnesses today accept such a practice?

Please understand that I am not advocating either of the above as sound medical practices but rather they illustrate that Noah was not prohibited as the Society prohibits today.

I do however see your point about blood being spilled for the sake of another human life. Indeed something to ponder.

Yes, that is something well worth considering.
