LA says: "Sounds like someones personal dreams were in conflict
with the sainthood(JW lifestyle)and sought the perfect
excuses to abandon ship! "
***I dont know about anyone else on this board, but when I read things like the above ALL the hairs on my neck stand straight up with anger. Since when are wanting an education, a family, a home, a good job from that education and children considered "personal dreams" as if it was a SIN somehow to want to LIVE YOUR LIFE? Since when does the Bible condone ANYONE abandoning these things for servitude to a man made organization? A greedy publishing empire no less?? uurrrrggg!!
"To xJW's, please answer;
How much of your giving up on the JW religion
(in part or in whole)actually stems from a personal incompatibilty with the JW religious lifestyle?"
**** I got news for you...NOBODY IS COMPATIBLE WITH THIS LIFESTYLE. They have an extremely high rate of suicide, depression, divorce, and dysfunctional family lives per the psychiatric medical community. Most stay only because of the threat of losing their loved ones if they dare go...Does that make them "compatible" because they stayed?? Were the prisoners of the Death Camps COMPATIBLE? Those inside the WT have as much choice of LEAVING the Org as those prisoners did.
"For example if in the recesses of our soul,
perhaps we desired to 'make it' in sports,
did our personal aspirations create a conflict
with the JW lifestyle thus leading to the eventual
departure from JW religion."
***Since no one can participate in sports because the WTS deems it BAD ASSOCIATION and WORLDLY...as they do ANY outside activities...yeah I'd say those "aspirations" would conflict with WTS dictates. (But as soon as there is a CELEBRITY out there in the WORLD who turns out to be a JW they are the FIRST TO BRAG ABOUT IT!!) The WTS teaches the mentality that if anyone dares to leave..THEY ARE THE PROBLEM...THEY ARE THE ONES WITH THE GROSS INADEQUACIES...THEY ARE THE FLAWED, UNDESERVING, SPIRITUALLY WEAK, DISGUSTING INDIVIDUALS WHO "Cant CUT it in GODS ORGANIZATION". A haughtier more self righteous organization doesnt exist on the face of the planet and they are despicable the way they destroy people's lives.
"Could it be perhaps OUR very personality in some
respects is incompatible with the JW lifestyle,
and so we seek a 'clean' excuse to leave, thus
seeking exaggerating faults with the religion?"
****Could it be that you like everyone of us, fell for the idea that THEY are faultless and to seek God outside THEIR walls is JUSTIFIABLY met with an attack similar to fire ants on an infant?
"Please be as honest and forthright as you
could possibly be."
***be careful what you wish for.
