Greg

What I said was in haste and a result of my attempt to stay involved in the discussions I started. I sounds odd, because it is odd, very odd!

I appreciate that admission.

I apologize to everyone on the board. I made a terrible mistake in trying to fool people about my identity, and continue posting as someone else. I have elsewhere tried to explain the reasons for my actions, and I will say no more about them, except as called for below. Circumstances adversely impacted and distorted my better judgment, and I clearly chose the wrong way to handle the situation. Again, I am sorry.

But those mistakes are controllable to a certain degree, and so I apologize, once again, for those mistakes that I have recently made, that were in fact within my control, though prompted a bit by external factors.

I appreciate that apology even more.

You and I have a more in common that you may realize. I look forward to future exchanges.

To Everyone Else

I suggest that we get along with issues and leave personalities behind. In part my own anonymity is just for that reason.

With his apology Greg has done all he can do respecting events surrounding TravisJ45. Those who are amoral do not apologize. Those who are entrenched in arrogance do not apologize. In my past posts on this issue I have willingly pointed out the oddities making TravisJ45 so suspicious. Did those oddities prove intended deceit? No, they intimated deceit but not to the point of proving it. The issue of deceit (or not) has to do with motives not how we interpret actions. Now, finally, by his apology, Greg has answered the question of whether he has decent morality and humility, decent motives. He does. Besides that he is willing to discuss issues. Those interested in issues rather than personalities will manifest that by getting on with those discussions rather than burying this forum with character assassinations. Those interested in character assassination to the detriment of issues should be ignored as infantile. When they grow up then we speak with them as adults.

Before I leave this issue alone I will comment on one other point. People should express themselves. When we repress that then we have repressed honesty. In Greg’s apology he has expressed his views on several points, including his feelings about other people’s actions. If those are his honest views then his speaking them represents honesty, which is what most here value above groveling. Those who are unwilling to accept Greg’s apology because he represented his honest feelings should rethink their own motives.

So, what’s it going to be folks?
