As Witnesses we often used the phrase, "Best to wait on Jehovah to clear things up." While that might have some merit in theology, it really doesn't when the lives of others are at stake. I am sure many Catholics waited on the Pope to rectify matters during the Nazi regime in World War II, as did many Jews wait on the Lord (THEY didn't have much choice, the Catholics did to some extent). People DIE when we "wait on the Lord" to rectify matters involving ethics and deception.
