You just don't understand, Andy! Note what they said, according to your quote:
"... Jehovah's Witnesses do not point to the year 2000 as the specific year in which God will act. . ."
This was written in 1999. Note that they used the present tense: they "do not point ..." Unfortunately the material fails to tell the reader that as late as 1989 they made specific predictions that 2000 would be "it". Nor do they inform the reader that the date was not really abandoned until the "generation change" in 1995. Yet another example of lying be telling half-truths.
