Spud: I really appreciate your comment. It reminds me of an experience I had while traveling on business. I had just left the Big-O (Big Organization for those in Rio Linda).
As I took my seat on the plane, I looked around at people. I saw mothers with their children, business people, older folks, and families.
Suddenly, a feeling came over me that I now saw these people as God's children, as equals, as likely good everyday individuals that I no longer had to judge, pity, or try to convince them of a particular religious system.
It was very much like I had just returned to planet earth to rejoin the human family. Or, more like I had come out of a political prison to live among normal rational people. I no longer had to avoid them with a wall of erroneous and dysfunctional Biblical interpretation. I could now appreciate each of them as unique indiviiduals with whom I could choose to associate or not as my conscience dictated.
Your comment struck a chord in my hearts of hearts with a meaningful memory. Thank you.
