I left the organization because I found that in most instances we were no better than the churches and people we were condemning and condamming.
I have too much love for God and his Son to share that love with an organization. AHHH, But you say that's not happening in your life don't you??? Well, I hope it's not. But answer me this:
1) Can you question the organization without fear of reprisal?
2) Can you openly doubt any teaching without fear of being marked?
3) Can you examine the WT's past, and openly discuss the false prophecies and expect no retaliation by anyone
4) Do you agree with all the F&D gives you as truth?
5) Did the WT ever issue an apology to (AND I PERSONALLY KNOW ONE) anyone who's child contacted polio because they taught that vaccinations were a violation of Gods Law?
6) Do you believe that a dying child's parents have no biblical right to allow a blood transfusion? If not, how do you think Jesus would have explained this?
The last time I was in the field ministry, I asked myself: Am I really any better or different from these people that we talk about in the car after the call? It's was always so easy to reason why Jehovah would kill someone else and spare me, after all, I was the one there with the "Good News." Then, I realized that I rarely ever shared the "Good News" with anyone. OH, I had plenty of literature placements, bible studies, return visits, impressive amounts of time each month, and received I plenty "Pats on the back" by people in the organization. I can think of only a few times that I really shared the "Good News" that Jesus spoke of with anyone, and those times were when The WT was never mentioned.
NO, I left the organization because my conscience would not let me worship an organization, not because I wanted to pursue a life style contrary to the Bible.
I have to say this: Leaving was not an easy task for me. I spent a looooooooong time there. I gave up dear friends that couldn't violate the organizations rules for shunning those with different beliefs. But, It's ALL been worth it. I have helped people with OVER 40 years in the organization to leave. I can now talk about the "Good News" that Jesus spoke of. Some of the good friends that I had in the organization are starting to come around now.
Sir, do yourself a huge justice. Convince yourself that what you have is God's calling. And, when and IF you do, then GO!! If you're already convinced, then LEAVE NOW!!!!! Don't look back at us poor suffering soon to be destroyed poor "APOSTATES," that are wallowing here in the mire. GO!!!!
I have found that people that aren't searching usually don't end up here.
