i would have to say that the person would have to come to meetings and stuff for at least 3 or 4 months, sit in the back of the hall, and then send a letter of reinstatement to the body of elders. they would not just welcome the person back into the fold. the logic is that the organization received "new light" making the "old light" invalid. the person should have waited on Jehovah to clarify the matter. (a friend of mine's mother just went through this). it is very unloving.
