It seems you now realize the full import of my initial response to TravisJ45 (I & II). I could go on and on about this but it would serve no real purpose at this time.
Unfortunately these type things tend to take on a life of their own when the individual involved has placed themselves in public view.
The whole thing makes me sick, just sick. I feel for Greg and wish he would just apologize and be done with it. It is not going away. It can only be minimized. But, what is to be done is Greg’s decision, not ours. I think Greg is a fine person who has made a serious error not unlike what many of us have done at some point in our lives. In most cases our serious mistakes did not happen in print and before hundreds or thousands (considering the lurkers out there).
