"I paid for the books and mags the same price as I charged. But I never placed everything, so wound up losing a little money each time."

Hi Exdub,

I would have thought we ALL "charged" the same price we paid for our lit at the Hall. Do you mean that (gasp) some didn't? (Teasing, kiddo)

But the same applied with ME, I made sure MY bookbag, and that of my children were always "well-stocked" with what we "needed" on hand, if we talked to young people, or folks with large families, the elderly, each "group" had its own "type" of literature, from soup to nuts in our service bags.

Of COURSE we didn't place everything, and WE absorbed the cost, over and over and over again.
Just THINK of this "practice" multiplied the world over, and how much $$$$$$ the Society reaps from this.

I know I've mentioned this before, but I think with this thread, it bears repeating.

How many of us were urged to "get subscriptions to the magazines for everyone in your household"? The point was made that EACH ONE should have his OWN W's and A's, coming in just to THEM?
(Mailman must've thought we were nuts or very selfish to not share magazines in the same home! haha) But....the point remains the same....all the $$$$$ went back to the Society, and we just kept plugging along, doing what was "expected". Muliply THAT "suggestion" many times worldwide...it boggles the mind, doesn't it?

Sunspot......who now has STACKS of mags that NOBODY wanted.......
