Nice to point out his failurs in general, but I hasten to remind everybody of Stafford's total incompetence regarding the Passover issue. That is, he did not understand nor know nor represent the WTS position regarding the Last Passover. Instead he expoused that the meal Jesus ate was a pre-Passover meal, something the WTS definitely does not teach nor ever did!
He also tried to get the WTS off by first sayign the WTS never absolutely stated their belief that Jesus sent his disciples out on Nisan 13th. Then when he was shown a specific 1998 reference stating specifically that, he claimed that was nullified since the GT book consideration during Book Study recently represented a return to a policy of vagueness and openess regarding this issue. Which is totally false and misguided.
So he didn't even represent the WTS' own beliefs on a topic he himself didn't understand. And proved the WTS wrong even then by admitting that the normal Passover was held on the 15th.
So I knew he was "impotent" beyond being a clever rhetorician of doctrines he was unfamiliar with.
So he struck out big time from the very beginning by not checking with the WT-CD as to what the WTS' beliefs actuallyw were about the Last Supper before going to some secular commentaries which present his standard pre-Passover meal theory to explain the alleged discrepancies in the texts. And he was all too quick to declare "we will never know the answer" as if this could not be resolved.
Another clever way to try to win a debate.
Of course, he quickly decided debating with me was a lost cause and excused himself claiming this was not a popular topic and so he wouldn't waste him time discussing it just for my sake. A phony argument all the way.
So now that he has crashed and burned with the rest of you, I can only suggest "I told you so."
He doesnt' know what the witnesses believe. He just likes to debate the other side.
Anyway, he was fun while he lasted. You, AF, Jan and others are the real heavies. I guess he found that out!
Unbelievable! What next?
