Don't have a heart attack old buddy;
I never said I was like Jesus, what I said was that Jesus didn't try reform, he just told the "truth". He didn't wait for years for change, he made the change.
Now once again you are judging me, and you don't even know me. I did denounce the wrong doing I saw within the local congregation. What I found out is that the elders are the same as the Pharisees. Hypocrites! They preach a good sermon, but when it comes to following through with it, well that is another thing.
So just what are you accomplishing MR. PROOFPOSITIVE? Is the blood issue about to change? Will the needless deaths stop? Is the shunning policy going to change? Will the families who have been broken up be reuninted? Will the SOCIETY allow active JW's to talk with their friends and family who finally had enough and left?
Lets see know, you just got a insert in the KM about the internet, so are they going to lighten up on their control over the rank and file? Not from what I hear.
If people like Rick can make changes for the better, then more power to them. Most people will admit that any MAJOR changes are far in the future. If I am wrong, I will admit it.
Do you remember this:
"We need to examine, not only what we personally believe, but also what is taught by any religious organization with which we may be associated. Are its teachings in full harmony with God’s Word, or are they based on the traditions of men? If we are lovers of the truth, there is nothing to fear from such an examination. It should be the sincere desire of every one of us to learn what God’s will is for us, and then to do it.—John 8:32".
It is from the societies Truth book. I checked things out, I saw deception, I saw lies, and I left. Now isn't that what you tell the householders, bible studies and interested ones? don't you point out all of their religions mistakes, and then don't you try and get them to leave that religion?
Well pard I don't think there should be double standards. Those of us who left because of the falsehoods the society promots did so because we no longer wanted to be a part of this FALSE RELIGION. Pretty simple.
If you want to spend the next 50 years trying to get changes made, I say go for it. I don't condem you for doing it your way, but why condem those of us who no longer want to be a part of it?
My leaving helped me and my family. And do you know something, that means something to me. So please don't come in here and condem all of us who don't think like you. Jesus wouldn't have done that. Maybe you missed the thing that Jesus said was the most important comandment of all, LOVE. Yep thats right, LOVE. Try it sometime if you really think YOU are following the examples of Jesus!
