Hmmm, some very good points. My daughter has always tried to do what is right and has been a great advocate for the underdog. She lives her life very well, she needs little materially and has a real problem with people who put other things besides other people first. She is very sad and unhappy when her peers do wrong things and makes them set matters straight. She has this wonderful thing about her that makes others do good thing. She absolutely hates lies and tells her friends if they lie to her and continue she is not going to hang around with them. Her strong values limit her amount of friends because of that. She lives by what she expects of others. But she has an overwhelmingly good heart and forgives too. But no ones walks on her either. I do not know how she is so balanced in this world of insincerity and pleasure seeking and deceit but I know and tell her all the time that I am completely honored that she is my daughter and I am very proud of her.
The heart is treacherous and we have discussed this and applied this to many things including our current predicament. I have asked her right out how she feels and she answers me honestly because she knows I won't flip out and go nuts on her. We have always been able to talk about anything with honesty and this situation is no different. I think so far her fruit with small exceptions has been good. I can't think of one thing she did that has ever been awful. Just normal growing up mistakes and the like.
Does Bibleman come off as confused? I think at times he might be. Like I said in other posts, time will tell. I don't say he is wrong because so much of what he says sounds good and I have read the scriptures around what he says and so far it isn't to bad. But I have had a couple things he said sort of hit me as wierd or something but I let them go for now.
Are we all wanting to like what he says because we want a "place to go to" or is it real? I really don't know. Are we trying to replace our old beloved "Truth?" At this very moment I am not totally convinced. I know some good has come of it for me because I am back to reading my Bible and praying and my daughter is reading her Bible and questioning things. So if nothing else it is worth the time spent listening to him.
What is your opinion? You can e-mail me if you want. Did you get my last one? I hope so 'cuz I didn't save it. No hurry in responding, just wanted to know if it went through?
As Always,
