That's correct. Eveerything happend on the sabbath up until Pilate sent Jesus to Herod. We find out what Herod did with Jesus but the Bible does not say which day that took place. That's speculation. The next definite date we know of is Noon on Nisan 19th for Jesus' final trial.
I'm presuming that it might have taken some time to send Jesus to Herod. There may have been some formalities. It might have been done the following day. Herod was not expecting him. He may have heard about the case and then set up a hearing and investigation. So this could have unfolded the following day or the day after. But Herod needed to get Jesus back to Pilate in time for him to possibly be released as a special prisoner during passover week when one of the condemned were released to the people. Apparently that was scheduled for Nisan 19th.
Anyway, your scenario is absolutely right. Everything up until Pilate sends Jesus to Herod occurred on Nisan 15th, a sabbath day.
