Yes, Sweetie, something IS VERY WRONG with the organization, and you have been living evidence of that for several years now.
Everything you said about the baptism, what YOU understood it to be, and what the Society has NOW CHANGED the meaning to be, are right on target.
They have no more personal, loving concern for you than a used kleenex, and you do NOT owe them anything. You have paid your dues and been trampled on long enough.
You do not need the Borg for your salvation...in fact RUN in the opposite direction. I was "in" for 30 years, so I speak as one who has been there!
Stick around here, and you will find many wonderful caring people who will help you with whatever you need....
