Yes, isn't that amazing? The sense of humor gets honed up real fast and sharp after really leaving the JW's.

I say "really" because for me it took me years to actually one day say, "I've done everything but formally renounce my religion."

A friend shot back, "Oh yes you have renounced it! We all recognized it. You were the only one who didn't know you weren't a JW anymore."

This was amongst a group of "worldly" friends.

That made me laugh somehow, and that was one of my many turning points in putting the WTS behind me.
