Dear Bibleman,
I must conclude that if you were confronted with a "logical and scientific" understanding of the bible, you would have to reject it as it would not fit your "illogical" beliefs?
There are names for this kind of mental gymnastics which if I were to use I would simply be resorting to name calling. How is it that you can reject the JW religion using "logical" arguments about the exact day of Jesus death, other chronological "logic" arguments, then hide in a shroud of claiming the Bible is not to be understood using the "limited logic of science"?
I'm sorry, but if religion cannot stand the test of logic and reason, then it should be discarded along with all the other superstitions. Only when religion is stripped of its nonsence, will it begin to be relevant and fulfill the real neads of and advancing civilization. Why else do you think the vast majority of educated people find that religion has no place in their lives. It represents going back to ritual, hocus pocus and priestly gobbledegook.
It's good that you have been able to see the falacies of the WBTS, but why replace it with similiar rantings and ravings of nonsence?
