It's not something I've researched. Have you looked into the better historical materials? The best I know of are Penton's Apocalypse Delayed, Rogerson's Millions Now Living Will Never Die, White's A People for His Name and Zygmunt's giant Ph.D. thesis. If you're really that interested I could ask some other people who are heavy into WTS research.
