Sorry to hear of your ordeal, and hope you continue to heal and get better nicely.
I DO have a suggestion for you, if you really want to have JW "visitors".
Write them a letter or two and tell the PO that since you have gotten along so well having unsolicited kindness from "wordly" associates, that you no longer wish to have any contact from the Brothers at the KH.!!!
THAT will have'em beating your door down, believe me! I spent a good deal of the summer in horrible pain, on crutches (was on them during the last few meetings I attended as well....no excuse that nobody "knew") as well as having to care for a hyperactive Autistic 11 year old, all while the JWs went by this house every day.
I finally told the PO by letter that I was disgusted at a lot of things, ONE being the lack of love shown, just to be "thought of" would have been nice in four months. (Elder 4 houses away--bookstudy conductor)
Since the, I've had countless phone calls (I let the answering machine get them) and several stops by here, banging on the door (I sit right here and ignore them) and then I wrote ANOTHER letter (DA Letter)and also said I want NO meetings with them, of any kind.......since last Friday they've been here twice!!!
Had they been THIS "attentive" to me since May, I might not have been so discouraged! Too late, and the more they bang away on this door, the more angry I get......how dare they NOW ignore me TELLING them I don't want anything to do with them? Not only their teachings are twisted and backwards, so is their reasoning!
Tell'em NOT to come, and they are here like flies on honey, when I told the PO on the phone in JUNE that I had just undergone the worst six months of my life........I didn't see them here then.......
Yup...you others, TELL us about the "LOVE" shown, we're listening!
Sunspot.........who also knows why the elders are here......I sent copies of my DA letter to every JW I know with email (the CO and some in Bethel as well), and a few more to some who don't. I gave REASONS why I am leaving (MY CHOICE) on how the Society has lied to us all......I bet a LOT of folks are asking questions now.....heehee.
