The flood has always fascinated me. The ice canopy is what surrounded the earth. But, I do not see how it could be solid ice. I know this is all speculation, but because of the salt content found in the oceans, I'm wondering if the ice canopy could perhaps have had a liquid salty layer sandwiched between other layers of ice. If the ice was real solid it would be hard to maintain a benificial humidity level. Yes the asteroid would be violent smashing through the ice. I was not meaning the whole surface of the canopy was shattered. Just holes knocked in it which released the salty liquid layer. Because of all the salt, the outside melted. This could be why the oceans are salty.
Also, I sent you an e-mail, not my husband. Why is it amazing that I would understand that the HOLOCAUST was the first great tribulation. The WTS does not have anything scriptural to even explain the HOLOCAUST other than call it the end of the gentile times. Of course they would not want to explain it because to do so, they would have to drop the martyr role. The WTS would not want to have to explain why Hitler believed they were part of the conspiracy of the Jews to take over the world through the banking system.

Left on my own, I would not see it or understand, I have no need to debate anything you have said at this point. Does that make you uncomfortable ?
