While that may be true to a point there is still in me a sense of responsibility for my actions. If my actions then contributed to someone joining the Witnesses, then my actions now may also play their part in someones leaving. As you point out the responsibility for joining was mine, the responsibility for your joining is yours.
My conscience requires me to contribute as I'm able and share or make available what I know now, just as it moved me to do so while a Witness. What you or anyone else does with what I or anyone else shares as far as information, beliefs or experiences is in your hands, and is as you say your responsibility.
I can assure you that I do not beat myself up over the time and energy I spent as a Witness in converting others. I don't feel horribly guilt ridden, in such a way as to cause me problems with my self esteem. I often look at what I've learned and experienced as invaluable, what I don't plan on doing is wasting time trying to prove or defend the indefensible.
