Hi Jan,
Actually, it's not about ignoring the facts which you stated.
The point I was making was the Biblical references to the canopy being frozen is now confirmed.
See the above post
But since you're bringing up the issue of the rotation, I agree with you regarding the liquified canopy being in orbit. I can see why that wouldn't work. But the solid-ice scenario works just fine because it is solid. Therefore, it wouldn't have to necessarily be in orbit around the earth. It could have been just stationary above it.
That is, just imagine a hallow ice planet in orbit around the sun without the earth in its center. If it were solid ice, then it would maintain its shape and remain suspended in that shape, whereas liquid would not.
This even works without a planet in the middle. That is, what forces are there to maintain a perfectly round liquid bubble in outer space? How
would it stay together or maintain it's shape?
But if were ice with a hollow center then there is no problem. It is it's own structure independent of anything else. It could circle the sun all on its own and just be a hollow ice plaent. That's why this works so well.
So all Jehovah would have to do is to set the hollow ice planet in perfect sync with Earth's orbit and all would be well. Certainly he could do that. Earth's gravity and rotation would have no effect on the ice canopy. It would just be a hollow planet of ice in precise, synchronized orbit around the sun with the Earth.
If you insist upon an orbit around the planet, however, you can always adjust the thickness of the ice around the equator.
I don't know how it was done aereodynamically, but an ice canopy certainly is less challenging as far as the rules of physics go and certainly there is a difference in free water verses solid ice.
In fact, solid ice completely ignores earth's gravity. So let's just say a hollow ice planet with the earth in the middle with synchronized orbits around the sun.
That should work.
But I agree with you about the water in orbit, that would not work beyond special rules. But ice as a solid structure in its own orbit should work.
Thanks for your comments.
But again, I wasn't coming up with anything newer other than the ice canopy theory is now confirmed scripturally, apparently. So whatever issues regarding the canopy we have to deal with, it has to be an ice canopy and not just plain water.
Cheers,
