Hi Rick:
You touched on something that I would like to explore just a step farther with you.
:New younger shepherds are appointed to replace the old abusive shepherds, and a "prince" will arise from their ranks to restore the flock who is like God's servant David of old.
:23
:I will place over them one shepherd, my servant David, and he will tend them; he will tend them and be their shepherd.
This "Prince" that will "arise from their ranks to restore" God's People is perhaps, the missing piece to a great puzzle. He is referred to as "David," "my servant" as you pointed out.
If this is so, you may be on to something that could revolutionize our thinking on many matters. Perhaps, Jehovah will "raise up" for his people, someone, finally, special called for this work of "restoration," a special "servant" for this job. Perhaps, a person, that is "inspired" ... maybe.
What do you think?
