When I said that Greg, the Igor to the mad doctors of Brooklyn, would return with his own brain in the jar, I had no idea that it would be from a self inflicted wound. It reminds me of the saying "Save the last bullet for yourself." I have an interesting book by the same name that proposes the idea that Custer's men did exactly that, panicking when they felt that they were doomed. Perhaps Stafford decided to cut his losses and "die" on H2O, rather than face the daily torture of being caught here in a deception. This is not much of a choice, but then, loyal dubs are used to a limited horizon.
