I couldn't agree more. Protecting their half-truths is, I believe, the big factor in their pushing the shunning so hard. I am no prophet, but I can't help but think as information flows more freely they will have to loosen up. As these guys are not too sharp and always prefer total control, I imagine they will try the tightening policy first. When that doesn't work then they will be forced to loosen up. What is sad is how many families will be fragmented as they go from one extreme to the other. I hope this has already begun, maybe the tightening has happened and all the new "conscience issues" are an indication of the loosening. I hope so, but I kinda doubt it.
