Part 5
How many generations now have the WBTS preached that we are in "the last days and the "time has approached?" My parents believed that they were those of the "other sheep' who were members of the "great crowd of Armageddon survivers. They are now both dead because of old age. I am now 51. What were they? If not those of the bride class, and not of the tribulation and Armageddon survivers, then what were they?
They were the "misled" The answer to that question is: Those who Jesus said would be "misled' by a false prophet who would even try to" mislead the chosen ones"
Please also see Ephesians 4:5 ....." One body there is and one Spirit, even as you were called in the *ONE HOPE*(heavenly hope) to which you were called. One Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God, and Father of all persons......"
There was only one hope that Jesus or the apostles taught for Christians.
Please read what Paul warned: " However, if we or an Angel out of heaven were to declare to you as good news *something beyond* what we declared to you as good news, *let him be accursed*. As we have said above, I also now say again, *Whoever* it is that is declaring to you as good news something beyond what you accepted, let him be accursed." Galations 1:8
1 John 4:1....." Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired expression but *test* the inspired expressions to see whether they originate with God, because *many false prophets* have gone forth into the world."
Does the WBTS allow you to do this kind of *testing?* Or are they like John 3:20-21?
" For he that practices vile things hates the light and does not come to the light. In order that his works may not be reproved. But he that does what is true, comes to the light in order that *his works may be made manifest as having been worked in harmony with God.*"
Why does the WBTS not allow JW to defend the "truth" on the internet esp. if the truth can stand on it's own? That is what my son thought. He couldn't understand why we weren't allowed to defend the "truth" to those who oppose it on the internet, so he decided to defend what the WBTS has taught. To his dismay, he discovered that there was much that the WBTS needed to hide because there were many things that they had taught in the past that the Bible couldn't support, including some things they teach today.
The question to consider is this: Are they afraid to come into the light so that their works may be made manifest as having been worked in harmony with God?
Why doesn't the GB allow us to ask any questions we care to ask them? (if we ask certain questions they don't like, they don't answer them because they say that "they are apostate questions.") Why don't they let us do what 1John 4:1-2 tells us to do? How do we know if what they teach is really from God or not? (especially when we see a whole string of false teachings in their wake?)
Let's face it, light is light, and truth is truth. Either something is true or it is false. The scripture that the GB has used for years:
Proverbs 4:18 concerning "the light getting brighter and brighter" Well, it first has to be light, but if something is not true, then was it ever light in the first place? NO.
