OOOPS! Hadn't considered asteroids. Hmmmm.

Welll.

Have you considered a force field?

The only thing I can think of is an extensive atmospher above the canopy. One scripture actually says the canopy was "above the mountains" and so perhaps it wasn't that high above the mountains and the the mountains at that time weren't as high as they are now.

Whatever, I'm sure it must have been worked out. But now you've got me thinking the canopy might have been thicker than I imagined but much lower. Maybe not that high over the mountains.

THAT'S IT! THAT'S IT!

Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you! It wasn't that high and that's why it is called a "SWADDLING BAND" maybe! It was in close proximity to the Earth relatively speaking, just above the mountains, and thus was hugging the earth almost like a "wrap". That would allow for substantial atmosphere above the canopy.

And if an occasional giant meteor broke through, repair would be easy.

Your guess. Maybe it was self-repairing. That's not to difficult.

Note my post above with additional scriptures.

Good question though.

Cheers,
Bibleman
