: Thank you for reposting this. Your reposting is just as it appeared originally except that the email link is not active.
You're welcome. I'm a baby at doing html stuff and don't know how to make such links active. In view of your request not to post it, I guess that was fine.
: I offered other comments on this affair below. I think you will like my title. Please do not make too much of it, I just could not resist.
I read it and I like your title, but disagree with some of your comments for reasons I've already elaborated on.
I have every confidence that you and most other admins are trustworthy and have integrity. Your general conduct demonstrates it.
However, this incident proves to me that at least one admin among you has no integrity. I don't believe for a second that his deletion of Greg's post was because he thought it violated the FPP. I've demonstrated that Greg's use of a 2nd screen name, while implemented poorly, was exactly in accord with an explicit statement in the FPP. At this time no one has attempted to argue otherwise. This proves either that the admin deliberately violated the FPP, or is so incompetent that he does not know what the FPP says. In either case something ought to be done about him.
As far as I'm concerned (you may say "so what?", but I think that most other participants will agree) the only way for the admin community to regain the confidence and respect that it has had is to force the rogue admin to fess up and either explain his actions or admit that he was wrong. Otherwise participants will surely know that their posts are subject to arbitrary deletion in ways that violate H2O's own FPP.
You and others may think that I'm being unnecessarily harsh with my comments, but I think that you know that I've consistently dogged those who attempt to hide irresponsible and cowardly conduct behind a cloak of anonymity and unaccountability.
