Half-truth and deception.
Greg Stafford writes a book entitled "Jehovah's Witness Defended". Why does he need to write such a book? The reason is the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society and Jehovah's Witnesses have long been accused of using half-truth and deception to promote and defend their religion, which is viewed by many outside the organization as an apostasy from Christianity. Portions of Greg's book are analyzed and it too is viewed by some as half-truth and deception used in the defense of the beliefs of the WTS and JW's. Greg then makes a deceptive post to this board to try to defend his book, himself and by extension the WTS and JW's.
Certainly I am not the only one who sees a continuous string of deception rooted in the WTS and emanating out through the rank and file and ultimately to the public. The need to use such methods and their purposes should be obvious. Half-truth and deception is business as usual for the organization and all of the members who choose to go along with it.
Silence. I have posted here several times asking JW's to defend the organizations policy on blood. In all but two cases there has been dead silence. In one case there was a response by LostAgain and although another good question was raised the original question was not answered. Silence. In the most recent response FaithFulJW who after stating he/she would answer any question did not answer the question but asked that I search the archives for his or her view. As stated by the moderators "Readers cannot dig through over 180,000 posts consisting of almost half a million typewritten pages, to find Joe's post(s) in question" So FaithFulJW, I still don't know what your view is without spending endless time going though posts. You still could give your view right now but somehow I suspect you will remain silent just as all other faithful JW's have done.
During the silence, how many will die or be faced with needless trauma over this issue? I know this sounds harsh but I can only assume you just don't care or are too frightened to stand up for what is right. Either way I find that position as well as the practices used by Greg Stafford and promoted by the WTS disgusting.
Can anyone see all of this and still have any doubt that the organization is not God's organization. If these were isolated incidences then I could understand people not drawing this conclusion. But these practices and attitudes have been used by the organization for almost its entire life span. Those who cannot see this are those who choose to do so. It is the blind following the blind.
I have never quoted a scripture in any of my posts before but this time I will. For those of you who want to follow the organization you do so in the face of all the evidence. That is your free choice to make. For those who have seen through the organization and no longer believe there can be any God or truth I can only feel for you and hope you will not always believe this way. For those who joined the organization believing it represented Christianity recall the words of the only one to follow.
