Well, Alan would have had to stop quoting from his book for one thing!
What he could have done is to email myself, yourself, Gedanken, Friend, AF, and anyone other relevant H2O personality to let us in on the charade. He could certainly trust us with his identify.
Perhaps he still could - I'm sure he's had at least one such offer.
That'd be pretty ironic, though. Greg would be trusting admitted apostates not to divulge his cloaked identity to his elders or the Society so he can contribute to the discussions!
Not sure how Friend would like to be included as an 'admitted apostate'! But the irony is certainly not lost on me - too bad I couldn't be trusted not to 'out' Robert... although I've definitely learnt my lesson now.
