Right in the middle of my response to Cygnus this morning I received a call from my PO. There has been some talk about my participation on the Internet, and having moved recently my letter for reappointment was returned with a condition: Stop posting on the Internet or you do not qualify for a posiiton of responsibility. Apparently someone saw my recent posts to AF, and they know I am continuing to post.
Since I am involved in this discussion with AF, I decided to use another name for a JW participant, with which I could continue my discussion with AF, having stood up for "Greg's" material, and thus drawing his attention to the "new kid" on the block. In using a friend's email address I had hoped to be able to continue in this manner, but without stumbling my brothers.
At this point, I may just step down, since I was not aware that witnessing on the Internet was a condition to serving the congregation. I understand and partially agree with their view, but I see no problem in standing up for the truth.
We'll see what happens...It is not as bad as some of you are bound to think, but it was an unfortunate and sudden turn of events.
