One way that they know is that they suddenly (well over a few days) get the idea that the Bible is speaking directly to them. That's a common denominator among them. And many of them understand completely they are of the "anointed", but they must ACCEPT the anointing. It's as if Jesus knocks to come in and they have to be awake and get up and go to the door to let him in. It has to be accepted.
So I suggest you become very familiar with Matthew 20 which basically shows that being of the anointed is open to everyone, even up until the last moment. So if you are being "called" just understand it is appropriate and accept the anointing. Then holy spirit will teach you directly from scripture.
1 John 2:20 says: "And you have an anointing from the holy one; ALL OF YOU HAVE KNOWLEDGE."
So you will get knowledge from scirpture.
And 1 Peter 5:10 says: "But after you have suffered a little while, the god of all undeserved kindness, who called you to his everlasting glory in union with Christ, will himself finish your training, he will make you firm, and he will make you strong."
Just because the time is short, you'll be in either of two groups. The "older brother" group which is someone who knows they are of the "anointed" but are not aware of the JIOR, which is the secret organization, with a little more underground things going on. If you are to become part of the JIOR someone will contact you or you will be led to someone.
If not, it's just a matter now of realizing that the GB has been disfellowshipped so you can't get correct knowledge from them now and must rely directly upon scripture. The JIOR is dismantling though and going into deep seclusion for some reason, I guess because the "knowledge" phase is over for them. So you will have to focus on scriptures only.
But since we are so well down the road in time, basically it is just a matter of waiting upon Jehovah who is about to bring in the new order and the millennium. All that is left is Babylon the Great has to be destroyed and then shortly thereafter all religion and then the political governments rejecting Christ's kingdom, and that seems like it won't be a very long time, say within two years from the fall of Babylon the Great.
So like so many who don't even know the scriptures but are being used by Jehovah and who are of the anointed, they are just waiting and they have knowledge on an "need-to-know" basis. It will seem lonely, but you won't be alone. Of course, it is mandated scripturally that the JIOR not openly acknowledge the Messiah. So that's one way we can tell who is really anointed or not since holy spirit would direct that.
So I hope all is well. And if you're not of the anointed, then you can be part of the "great crowd" or "other sheep" and still focus on surviving Armageddon. Just focus on worship of Jehovah. The wait is very short now.
Just make sure you're living in harmony with all scriptures so you can be declared "clean" and all should be well.
