I'm sure the majority of you've noticed that most of the JWs on this board are a little daft. And most of you are aware of the WTS' policy on the internet, and communication with "apostates" via the internet.
The presence of self-professed loyal JWs on this board and the WTS ban of communication with former members creates an obvious contradiction that's been brought up on this board a billion times. JWs have a few choices to justify their presence: 1. Claim that they believe the WTS has a "few problems", and that they don't totally agree with the communication ban, 2. Claim that the ban doesn't really apply to electronic communication, or 3. (the most crackpot choice of all- and mysteriously the one they almost always favor) Claim that they are here with Jehovah's personal permission. As YK put it, here as some sort of "special agents" that Jehovah has secretly set up without the WTS' knowledge, to fight the rising tide of apostasy in the great spiritual war (and thus the ban doesn't apply to them personally).
It's sad that people have to go through these mental contortions just to feel okay about communicating with former members of their religion. But what's even sadder is that it seems to lead to even greater delusions, as can be seen by this absurd fantasy by FaithFulJW.
Why is it that nearly all JWs that claim to be loyal on this board seem to share this same problem? Do JWs simply lose their sanity if they associate regularly with apostates yet are incapable of becoming "disloyal"? Or does the internet just attract JWs who are already crackpots to begin with?
