He didn't exactly attack Alan, but other than that, I completely agree. It was a sad attempt to toss a red herring into the argument, and a very typical ploy of dubs. Alan would never swallow bait like that in a serious argument.
After reading part one, I doubt I have the stomach to read the rest of his post.
I'm in frequent contact with a professor of religious studies at a well-respected University. He has most of the books available on JWs, both pro and con and knows the religion and its history extraordinarily well; better than many informed apostates, I might add. He's also been a lurker on this board for several years and has read Staffords posts in here.
When I asked him about a week ago if he had Stafford's book, he replied, "I wouldn't waste my money on it."
That alone speaks volumes.
