Roamer, when a JW is brought before the Sanhedrian, OOOOPS, I'm sorry, the Judicial committee, he isn't permitted to question them about Biblical issues. The committee isn't allowed to debate anything Biblical with him or her. Their mind is set, and the issues are clear cut. There is no middle ground. They have the Pontious Pilate's booklet on "How to try innocent people."
