That's true. But with the Society we are dealing with a religion that has *insisted* that it *is* "God's exclusive organization."
Millions of Witnesses are living under the illusion that it is God's orgnaization. Isn't that why people join this religion? How many of those Witnesses would have joined it if they didn't think it was God's organization? (Of course, nobody is *allowed* to join it unless they do believe it!)
I recall talking with an elder who allowed me to show him Ray's letters concerning Mexico. He could see that something was terribly wrong, but the only answer he could come up with was...
"If the Society isn't God's organizaiton, then I might as well go out and 'eat, drink and be merry.'"
I took that to mean that, as far as he was concerned, if the Society isn't God's organization then there must not be any God! I wouldn't be surprised that there are other Witnesses who feel this way deep down.
I want to post another thought about "The Foundation Corner Stone" of the Watchtower religion...
