"I don't see why the WTS would have to deny the tenets of their faith in order to reform. They could change some of their abhorant practices, apologize for the pain they've caused people, face up to what they've done, then get on with things. They might even grow stronger."
But again, if the Society is not God's organization, wouldn't they *have* to deny that particular tenet of their faith in order even begin to reform?'
And also again, If Jesus isn't God's Son, then there is a need for the Christian religion to be reformed. It must stop saying that Jesus is God's Son. But if that's true, then what happens to the Christian religion? You can change as many of Jesus' teachings as you like, but what do you do with the most important one (i.e. he is God's Son).
Could the GB say, "We are not God's organization" and still "go on with things?" I guess they could, but who would "go on" with them?
Are there any Ex-Witnesses on this list who would go back to 5 meetings/week, go door-to-door with the Watchtower and Awake! etc., etc., etc if the GB comes out and admits that "the Society is not God's spirit-directed organization?"
Are there any Witnesses on this list who would continue to look to the men of the Governing Body for their spiritual direction if they knew for a certainty that the Society is not, and never has been "God's organization?" (If so, Why?)
