While we're on the subject of "Babylon the Great" I think it would be good to point out why the WTS' application is wrong.
The WTS claims that BTG is the "world empire of false religion." But this doesn't work for two reasons:
1) Revelation 17:3 begins the vision of Babylon the Great riding the scarlet-colored wild beast in the "wilderness" which is Biblical symbolism that Babylon the Great is a secret organization, working from behind the scene. Reference likewise the woman who gives birth to the kingdom immediately flies with eagle's wings into the "wilderness"..."out of the sight of the dragon." Meaning when something is in the wilderness it is not public.
So first and foremost, BTG is not a "public" organization per se having this influence over the U.N. but a secret influence. Thus please note major religious organizations are public institutions.
2) In what way can we really say the Vatican or the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses or Jerry Fallwell or the Dalli Lama or any Jewish rabbi or some African witch doctor has any influence over the U.N.? They don't. Their credibility is at an all-time low.
So the "world empire of false religion" doesn't work.
Furthermore, when Babylon the Great is destroyed, it is the merchants who mourn her because of her wealth. So clearly this is a private, secretive financial influence on the U.N. Which is quite understandable since world finance is an incredible political influence now. Whoever controls the money can influence every aspect of the modern life, including politics, social, religious, military, whatever.
Now that it seems we're focussing on the Jewish financial influence on the U.N. it is interesting that as soon as the U.N. came out of the abyss after having been the "League of Nations" before, that one of the first things they did was to Partition Palestine and give the Jews their own country. Now that's influence!
Add to that Rutherford's own statement that the Jews control the British and American empire through finance and you have enough of a connection for Babylon the Great to be a Jewish-oriented, secret financial organization linked with Freemasonry and and other mysteries religion cultic practices.
And it is hard not to believe the rumors. For instance, one quote claimed that both Rutherford and Russell were Jews and were Freemasons and had the goal of starting the witnesses as part of indoctrinating Christian groups to accept a new world order when it came about. Now that was the rumor, which one might ordinarily just dismiss.
But when you start checking, you can't disprove it. But you can confirm that Rusell in fact was Jewish, and looking at his teachings, you certainly can't deny he was or was influenced by Freemasonry, who do focus on pyramidology, Egyptian pagan mysteries, and Russell included at least three direct symbolisms of Freemasonry on the covers of various publications, including the "cross and crown" and the sign of the "Knights of Templar" on the Watchtower, and the "winged disk" on copies of the "Studies in the Scriptures." Furthermore, when you look at the situation with Hitler and Jehovah's Witnesses, his main complaint about them were also that they were being financed or backed by the Jews. So he basically thought they were a front operation for the Jewish conspiracy to control the world. And Rutherford in his declaration basically confirmed for Hitler that the Jews did, indeed, control the British Empire and New York through finance and condemned them for it. So there is some underground substance it would seem to some of this and we can't just automatically dismiss it as fantastic any more, though some of it, obviously is speculation and hype. But the fundamentals seem to be true.
We probably won't know specific details until Babylon the Great is actually exposed.
What we would look at though, is that IF these rumors are vaguely true, that there is a secret "Illuminati" working behind the scenes to manipulate the world through control of commerce and banking, then this would fit the scenario given in the Bible of a secret financial-based mysteries cult organization manipulating the U.N. from its inception right after WWII.
Some even rumor that some rich Jews paid off Roosevelt to vote for the partition of Israel.
Now I don't want to spread that as a rumor, but that is what I had already heard, so the rumor is out there. That would be consistent with Babylon the Great influencing the U.N. through money.
But apparently, everybody who has been in bed with this under-the-table money, and we know how politicians are, will suddenly grow tired of this manipulation and will turn on BTG and utterly destroy her, which I think the only way that can happen is they confiscate their funds and send the ring leaders to jail for "high crimes against the world" or something.
Anyway, that's what I'm monitoring. If anyone has any other speculations, please share them with us. Let us know what you expect next!
But all of us should have some general preconceived idea as to what to look for, otherwise, can we blame Jehovah if we are found in the wrong place at the wrong time, or supporting the wrong "new world order"?

SUMMARY:
