Yes, I understand that. I even agree to a degree. I think what bothers me isn't that there were problems and changes. After all, I'm part of a religion that has a sordid past too!
My concern is that it seems hypocritical for people to base so many of their religious doctrines on not wanting to do what pagans did, not wanting to dabble in anything that has questionable beginnings, NO MATTER what it has become today. But still maintaining a relationship with an organization that has as weird a background as the WTS has. That seems hypocritical to me.
Not to mention the obvious lies and cover-ups.
That is what doesn't make sense. The not dabbling in this because of its background, but throwing themselves, heart and soul, into an org with equally weird a background. Doesn't seem consistent, does seem hypocritical.
