CORRECTION:
Please note that "Bible chronology" establishes the fall of Jerusalem in 529BCE not 587BCE which is just a revised date that is now been proven to be a revised date by astronomical text. So 587BCE is now verified as a false date, proven by astronomical text.

But the Biblical date was never 587BCE. The Bible's 70 weeks prophecy must be fulfilled by Cyrus. That's why they began rebuilding Jerusalem in the 7th month during the time of the "Festival of Booths." Because that is the time the Messiah would come to dwell with Israel. That's when he would begin his ministry in 29CE. That means the true 1st year of Cyrus occurred in 455BCE, 483 years from 29CE.

The 70-year exile is BIBLICAL and began in the 23rd year of Nebuchadnezzar, which would be 525BCE. Thus the BIBLICAL date for the fall of Jerusalem is 529BCE.

This is now confirmed by astronomical text so no current books supporting the 587BCE date are valid now.

You have to deal directly with the research which simply is two references to 511BCE found in the VAT4956 dated Year 37 of Nebuchadnezzar. That means his 19th year fals in 529BCE.

And a double eclipse event mentioned in the SK400, dated "Year 7" which can only be matched in 1000 years to 541BCE. When applied to Nebucahdnezzar's reign it again confirms the original dating of his reign to 529BCE for this 19th year.

Also note that both these documents are of the same sort and have DOUBLE-DATING in them for the same years, proving there was a conspiracy and these texts were designed to hide references to the original chronology while surviving promoting the revised chronology. But the DOUBLE-DATING proves the 587 BCE dating is the revised dating and the 529BCE dating is the original dating. End of story.

No problem dismissing 82 years of Persian history either. Watch:

Just take 30 years from the 36-year rule of Darius per Ezra 6:14,15.

Then combine the reigns of Xerxes and Artaxerxes, who were the same king. (Compare Ezra 6:14,15 with Daniel 11:2).

Then reduce the 47-year rule of Artaxerxes II down to its natural length of 17 years by reducing it by 30 years.

30+30+22 gives you 82 years of Persian history that nobody even will miss. That's because it was superficial anyway. And know that all the documents that support the revised chronology are all COPIED records! They are ALL revised records.
People don't know this.

Furthermore, only astronomical texts can provide you with absolute-dating, so these two texts now prove the 529BCE chronology. It is now INCOMPETENT to think that the 587BCE chronology is accurate. And this is not a Biblical but a "secular" confirmation of the 529BCE dating in these two critical documents. Not that there is not more proof.

So your statement that the "Biblical" date is 587BCE is now inaccurate, false and out of date, and easily dismissed both Biblically as well as secularly now.

Just thought I'd correct you. The WTS has the wrong dating for 607BCE but 587BCE is incorrect as well. The true date for the fall of Jerusalem was 529BCE. The end of the gentile time occurred in 1992.

Know this.

Cheers,
Bibleman
