I quote you:
Have you noticed how poor the grammar, spelling, and sentence syntax is for many dubs who post in here?
At least "1" is finally getting a college education. But then, he's no longer a dub now, is he? Apparently his stint at Bethel didn't turn out to be "equivalent to a college education," after all. I'm sure he learned how to master the use a broom in his years there, just like thousands of other young men who were lied to by their religious masters about Bethel=College.
You are making a statement here that we are all not educated, and I should remind you of the door to door work, and people who have not been raised up as one of Jehovah's Witnessess. Not to mention the fact of all the reading and writing that goes on being a Witness. If anything long term witnessess probably spell and speak better than most.
>"Does crime or violence escalate around Halloween?"
This one isn't to hard to figure out Fark, if you were a criminal, what better circumstance is there than to fit in with a mask? It isn't everyday that Dracula can roam un-noticed.
:"Do ritualistic human sacrifices increase around Halloween?"
I don't know about human, but in Victoria, BC that seems to be the captial of cults.....has rituals that evening....yes. This has been confirmed by many people I have known in that area that have no ties to JW's. I was aware of this long before becoming a witness. So the answer to your question is....Yes.
"Or is it about just a bunch of gleeful little children putting on scary and/or funny costumes and getting bags of candy once a year?"
No, it isn't. It has meaning behind it just like everything else does.
First you guys get all upity about the past, and the watchtower, and yet, you don't acknowledge history. You just want to rip apart jw history, and it is all so important then. What about other things and their history?
Very selective in your history lessons.
