the quote deals with the fulfillment of the parable in its entirety, from beginning to end. If you disagree, show where the writer indicated otherwise.

Yes, it deals with the fulfillment of the parable in its entirety but that deemed a “serious mistake” has to do with after which that parable is applied.

The writer felt it would be a serious mistake to apply the parable (without regard to some part of it, e.g., the beginning) to any time later than the present 'time in which we are living' and which was "fast running out".

BINGO!!! That is what I have said from the beginning!

The time period after which the application of the sheep/goat/judgment would be a mistake is “time in which we are living”, “the conclusion of the system.” That means as long as the Society’s application is within the “time in which we are living”, “the conclusion of the system”, then they have not made the supposed “serious mistake”.

If (as you seem to contend), within this definition it would NOT have been a mistake to apply the parable to the judgment at Armageddon, then why the reference to "time ... fast running out"? By Armageddon, time WOULD HAVE RUN OUT, is that not true? Surely the writer realized this?

Please note that the post-1995 understanding has the sheep/goat/judgement occurring after the outbreak of the “great tribulation” with sentence carried out at Armageddon. That period remains part of “the conclusion of the system.”
