This was one of the most sweetly sad posts I've ever read. I'd like to see it addressed by an active JW. How DO you reconcile the weird and strange and extremely questionable history of the WTS with your belief that it is true?
Here's the part of the post from Antique that I hope you will read and consider. Antique did an incredible job of stating the case.
"One of the first conclusions that I came to when researching was that the "foundation" of the Society was based on paganism and the occult and that the leaders themselves had extreme faults that were on-going and uncorrected (drinking, wifebeating etc.). The Scriptures tell you that the foudation has to be solid and this foundation was indeed weak. Then my research went on to other things and then to other things. The more I read the worse it got and I was only trying to prove that my precious Organization that I had given all to, was true. It was hard to take and at times still is. It is hard to think you are all locked up in security and all is okay and you have all the answers and then to find out you are out in the cold. Also a reason some don't research, they know there is a possibility of them having the wrong Organization and they don't WANT to know.
