I'm not baiting for a fight and just want an answer from any active J.W. on just this one subject:how can you not be angry about the 1914 Generation's meaning being changed? I've been out for a long while now and even I was shocked when I saw with my very own eyes how the the Awake dropped "the Creator's promise" and heard it had been "reinterpreted" to some indefinite,and therefore meaningless,"generation which sees the signs of Christ's presence and yet fails to mend their ways".
Even if I accepted that Christ came to rule in 1914 then "this generation" could be applied to anybody from then till the sun engulfs the earth in a few billion years from now. This is a meaningless interpretation and obviously a cheap cover up for the FACT that yet another "Biblically" based promise has failed for the Watch Tower Society. It's clear as day that these guys are struggling just like the rest of us to find out what it all means. Doesn't this shake your faith in the Society just a little? Please help me understand how this doesn't bother you. I shouldn't have to list all the other false "interpretations" they have advanced, this one should be more than enough to at least make you question where the Society gets its "information". I could be more accurate than them by just throwing darts at a calender blindfolded. Where are some faithful J.W.s to help explain this? Truely dumbfounded by it all,Liberty
